I have been a Real Estate agent since 2002. Real Estate has always fascinated me. I began part time, attaining a real estate license for personal investment reasons. During this time I helped friends, family, and referrals buy and sell homes as well. At this point in my life I was a contractor. My primary job responsibilities were selling and managing multiple projects at a time.
I purchased my first home at the age of 21. I was single and lived in a “fixer upper” with roommates. For me this was the biggest investment of my life. My first renovation turned into multiple flips while living in them… then came my beautiful wife Lesley and our 3 wonderful daughters. Real Estate investing continued, but not as our residence. We’ve flipped 6 homes since, owned rental properties, subdivided land, built a home, and now have vacant land for future development.
My hobbies include hunting, billiards, biking and spending time with my family. We enjoy bike rides and swimming in the summer, as well as sledding, skiing, and ice skating in the winter. As the girls get older youth activities are becoming a large part of our free time… soccer, tennis, piano lessons, etc..
My construction background is a strong asset I bring to my clients. My understanding of how a home should be built is valuable to you both as a buyer and a seller. As a buyer my critical eye allows me to point out things in a home and give you ballpark numbers on what improvements may cost. As a seller I can help you determine what projects need to be completed to sell your home or what projects will not give you a good return on your investment.
2008: A game changer for me, as was it for most of the country. Contracting was not supporting my new and growing family. A career change was in my future. I decided to become a full time real estate agent. I started working for a dominant internet based Real Estate Company. With a constant supply of clients I’ve helped hundreds of people buy and sell homes. I’ve been full time Real Estate since.
2015: A Bigger Game changer. The launch of Pro Flat Fee Realty, I am the broker and owner. I’ve been a licensed broker for 8+ years, but acted solely as an agent under a different broker. I believe Technology will put an end to the standard “full commission” brokers. The internet has provided you with research tools and has decreased the efforts of agents. Realtor representation is still critical in helping you find what you are looking for, or properly marketing your home… just not the same fees that have been charged in previous decades.
